After rescuing a poorly behaved dog, Molly and John Chester are evicted from their small Santa Monica apartment. They choose to leave city-living for 200 acres of barren farmland: depleted of nutrients and suffering from a serious drought. These desolate conditions do not stop the couple from building up the farm’s ecosystem and forming an unbreakable bond with the land. Embracing one challenge after another, this charming film shows us what is achievable with dogged perseverance. And our world is better for it.
Kelly’s Working Well Farm will be on hand with some of their farm animals before the Saturday screening.
